Football and Mardi Gras made for a great weekend for Arbitech customers and employees alike. 🎉🎺🎷New Orleans turned out to be a great city to take in the Superbowl🏈 as well as the local sites.
On October 12 Arbitech, LLC was the recipient of the OCTANe High Tech Innovation Award for Best Culture/Management/Motive Company. Arbitech received the award, at OCTANe’s gala award ceremony, after being submitted through a vigorous vetting process.
The award was accepted by Mr. Francisco Llaca, President, who recognized the owners and all of management for making employee health and wellness a priority. Mr. Llaca expressed the company ethos that its main asset is its employees, and that long tenured, productive employees should be the aspirational goal of all companies. With company benefits such as funded 529(c) plans for employee newborns; daily breakfast, snacks, and drinks; catered Friday lunches; 401k matching contributions and subsidized health care for employees and family; team bonding events outside of the office such as the yearly golf tournament/duffy rides and Del Mar races; Arbitech strives to help Employees balance work and life while producing the results that have made it the preeminent entity in the technology independent channel.
This benefit, which is provided yearly by the company at no expense to the employee and on a voluntary basis, is part of the Company’s health and wellness program. Mrs. Jamie Carwana, Head of Human Resources, arranged for Rite Aid to visit Arbitech and administer the shots. Mrs. Carwana explained: “The health and well-being of our employees is of primary concern to management. We strive to educate, provide necessary tools, and insist on work-life balance to ensure employee wellness.”
Recently Arbitech attended the USC job fair. The visit was a huge success with the Arbitech booth being very popular, even drawing the attention of the USC paper and past interns. Mr. Francisco Llaca, President of Arbitech, participated in a delegation of IT independent resellers who spent the week in Washington, DC lobbying for industry causes. Mr. Llaca, who also serves as chairman of the ASCDINATD, met with Congressmen Rep Daryl Issa and Rep Blake Farenthold, a host of congressional staffers and policy experts. Arbitech takes pride in representing the independent channel and shedding light on common issues the industry faces.
Arbitech is pleased to recognize Edgar Pacheco, its facilities/logistics manager, for his selfless service in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Edgar, on a company sponsored trip, went to Houston to lend assistance to people in need. Working out of multiple shelters, Edgar helped distribute food, water, and essentials to the citizens of Houston.
